The weather can be hard on our hands, and the colder temperatures cause our body heat to be drawn more toward the trunk area of our bodies, thus causing our hands, feet and limbs to be colder and more susceptible to drying out.
Consider keeping pairs of gloves stashed in different places so they’re always readily available; the glove box, your purse, and your coat pocket. Protecting your hands inside by wearing rubber gloves when cleaning and doing dishes protects your hands from being introduced to the harsh chemicals through the cracks in dry, chapped skin. Try keeping moisturizer readily available to apply, especially after washing hands and working with paper products.

Take a moment to think about how you would define a meaningful accomplishment. Most of us tend to think of external things like how much money we make, the type of home or car we have, or what job we hold.
Yet what is really important in life; how much money we have, or, how kind we are to others? What is really significant; the job we hold, or, the love we bestow on our families? What would be a significant accomplishment; the fancy house we own, or, forgiving someone?
Try redefining a meaningful accomplishment and begin to cultivate success of the heart. You can begin by asking yourself some of these questions:
• How can I be kind to myself today?
• How can I become more calm and collected instead of
overreacting in the face of challenge?
• Can I let go of my anger?
• Who do I need to forgive?
• How can I love my spouse today?
• How can I make my child feel significant today?
Don’t lose sight of what’s truly meaningful and begin to put the emphasis on what’s really important!
“Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.”
